Neither was the thing eating the crew.

ONE HELL OF A WAKE-UP CALL.

WRONG SHIP.
WORSE COMPANY.

A ride to the moon. A place to disappear. Then the screaming starts.

You’re a drifter with a hangover, a battered shotgun, and no interest in becoming alien lunch. Fight your way from a dying moonbase into places that should have stayed buried.

QUIET RESTART.
LOUD CONSEQUENCES.

6–8 SECONDS

Carry the power cell in. Take the time to restart the control quietly. Pressure and oxygen systems take a little longer.

Then defend the repairs. Nearby fighters speed the work; contested progress holds. Cut three infestation links to finish the sabotage.

LONGER SHIFT.
WORSE COMPANY.

Every campaign has more ground to cover, more people in trouble and more ways to make a mess. Follow the main route, take a salvage detour, and try to clock out with your organs.

MESSY WORK.
LONGER HOURS.

Bring Briggs, Vale, Mateo and Luis along. Tell them where to defend, focus their fire, regroup, or send someone to help a downed teammate.

Armed survivors defend themselves before you recruit them. Civilians and traders scatter, hide and react to nearby fighting. Help a downed friendly back up; your recruited squad carries forward through the campaigns.

01 / OVERTIME WAS NOT OPTIONAL

Every level. Twice the ground.

All 45 levels now have 24 or 36 rooms across two or three decks. Return corridors, side routes and 240 main objectives give each expedition more to do. Built around a 15–25 minute exploration pace; your route and difficulty determine the actual time.

02 / BAD COMPANY, GOOD COVER

They have a plan. Probably.

Nine local crew members appear in six smaller encounters per level. Companions and traders are spread along the journey. Enemies flank, fire short bursts and commit to melee lunges you can dodge. Reinforcements leave room for recovery and reserve pressure for later decks.

03 / EXPENSES FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE

Somebody still wants the paperwork.

120 optional salvage trails reward exploration. Recover two cases on a deck and return to its exchange for credits plus ammunition, armor or health. Every level still has three secrets. Completed rewards stay completed when you reload.

04 / THE CLEANING CREW HAS RESIGNED

Extreme blood. Your call.

Wider impact sprays, tumbling fragments, wall splatter and spreading pools make combat hit harder. Extreme is on by default. Choose Standard, Reduced or Off in Gameplay options. Desktop and browser versions both support surface splatter.

A LITTLE HELP.
STILL A BAD MORNING.

Contextual tips introduce controls when you need them. Repair feedback explains what stopped the work. Allies make room when you push through, and the squad display keeps health and orders in view.

Four difficulties, remappable controls, subtitles, adjustable HUD, first-person play and an optional shoulder camera let you make the disaster your own.

Browser requirements

Browser 0.12.0 includes the updated NPC behavior, bundled voices, attack screams and current campaign systems. Desktop play needs WebGL 2, WebAssembly, a keyboard, and a mouse. Allow the initial download to finish. On phones, rotate to landscape for touch controls. Mobile play is in beta and may still stutter or crash; Mac and Windows downloads are also available.

Saves and installation

Start a new campaign for the expanded levels. Continue keeps older campaigns on their original maps so saved progress remains usable. Browser saves stay in this browser’s local storage and do not transfer to desktop. Clearing site data may erase them; private browsing may not retain progress.

On Mac, open the installer DMG, double-click Install Hobo in Space.pkg, and follow the steps to install in Applications. The app and installers are signed and Apple notarized. Alternatively, extract the app ZIP. On Windows, use the installer or extract the entire ZIP and keep the EXE and PCK together. Uninstalling preserves desktop saved games.

Content and credits

Dark comedy, violence, strong language and fictional drug/alcohol power-ups. Character dialogue currently uses bundled synthetic performances; attack screams use credited human recordings. Built with Godot. Artwork includes game assets, labeled in-game captures and original promotional illustrations. Engine notices · Voice credits · Scream credits · Font license.
